The Role
You'll own the plan that connects what we sell to what we make. You'll build the forecast, run our monthly Sales and Operations Planning process, and turn that plan into factory orders, inbound shipments, and healthy inventory across every channel. This is a hands-on role at a growing company: you'll build and implement the process yourself!
What You'll Do
- Build and own the demand forecast by channel (big box retail, wholesale, DTC, and international), down to style and size.
- Run the monthly S&OP meeting with sales, marketing, product, and finance to align on one number.
- Turn the forecast into factory purchase orders, including quantities, timing, and size curves.
- Manage inventory health: in-stock rates, weeks of supply, and aging or excess stock.
- Work with our overseas factories on capacity, lead times, and production schedules.
- Plan inbound freight and allocate inventory across our Cary warehouse and our 3PLs in the Netherlands and Canada.
- Work with retail partners' forecasts and replenishment plans to keep big box accounts in stock.
- Build the planning tools we need now and help choose the systems we'll need as we scale.
Ideal Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or S&OP, ideally in apparel, footwear, or consumer products.
- Experience planning for both wholesale and DTC; big box retail experience is a strong plus.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including forecasting, data modeling, and analysis of large datasets.
- Experience working directly with overseas factories.
- Willingness to do hands-on work; you don't need a team under you to get things done.
- The confidence to challenge a sales forecast with data.
- Experience with Shopify, QuickBooks, ShipHero, or EDI, a plus.
- Experience with international 3PLs or cross-border inventory, a plus.
